Compressors cannot be internally repaired—they must be replaced if the motor is damaged or the internal mechanism has failed. However, not all compressor problems mean replacement is necessary. A compressor that’s running but not pressurizing correctly might have an expansion device issue, not a compressor failure. We test thoroughly before recommending compressor replacement.
